On Summoning Magic, fin

Part of a series (prev notes 1 and 2 and 3 and (this))

Probably the last thought on this topic for a bit.

The fantasy of what the summoning magic actually does, is also important. For example - Isn't pokemon basically just a game about summoning monsters? It's not framed that way, but when you think about it.. Monster rancher type games are basically that.

There's a few "fantasies" for summoning in Asqueria.

Dreamsketch/Nightweave- Conceptually, this skill is a response to something like Relm's Sketch ability in FF6. Except that if Relm's ability was a companion to Blue Magic, these are more companions to proper summoning magic. Dreamsketch and Nightweave are both types of magic which are represented in the game heavily even outside its core users. They are the reason we have a weapon type called the "Brush", as in paintbrushes, quills, etc. Essentially, they dream/nightmare paint their summons into existence. Nightweave summons are berserk/uncontrollable, while Dreamsketch summons are fully controllable but put the caster to sleep for their duration.

Primordials- A bit different in concept - Primordials are representations of the different elemental planes connecting to Asqueria. This type of magic is really only used by one character, who hails from an extraplanar location. It represents that character's relationship with these avatars of planar energy. Primordial summons only last one round, but are fully controllable with no penalty.

Hellblade- While the Hellblade skillset is not pure summoning magic per se, It does have a set of 3 abilities which perform a summon. These summons are weaker autobattlers who execute other Hellblade skills. Unlike other summons though, they don't have a fixed round duration - instead, their skills cost HP, they rot more HP every round until expiring,

Misc- There are a few "conjuration themed" spells out there in the other skillsets - This can range from conjuring up some consumables to invoking a ritual to summon a special vendor accessible out in the field away from town. And I suppose technically, the Dreamrune itself is a some form of summoning/teleportation to camp.

Full page, empty brain. That's how we like it. Oh, and here's a couple more sprites.  Today we feature Seir, Bringer of Light, Lord of the Skies, and Saint Razakel, The Twice Cursed. Both live in the Dream/Nightmare set of summons.
