Boss Reworks (With Video!)


Circling back to some items while waiting for JUDGEMENT DAY.

So I gave a few bosses in the game a bit of extra spice, as shown in the linked video. Soundtrack coming together nicely, Even got the music change with the boss phases going. In the video, The boss is immune to damage until waves of adds are defeated. The smaller enemies have new abilities, and once all are defeated, the actual boss wakes up, starts taking actions and can be damaged.

The other "big" boss received a similar but different rework, and there are new a few hidden scripted encounters that clever explorers can unlock in each dungeon which drop cool/unique items - but be warned, they're tough! 

I kept hearing about how annoying an unintuitive it was to script encounters in RPG Maker, but this didn't seem bad at all. There's a bit of visual/timing stuff I need to clean up, but otherwise, this should go live with v0.0.2 when the submission unlocks. Another week to go!  I wish I had gotten more of this done for the game jam deadline, but there's only so much time in a day. Ah well, next round in feedback quest, maybe.
