Class/Job change systems


I really like customizable class/job systems. Asqueria: Origins doesn't have one. I'm talkin like, FF3, FF5, FFT. Even FF11. D&D video games qualify in most forms too, from DDO to BG3. And some honorable mentions for stuff like SNES Ogre Battle, with army units who evolved based on level and other stats like alignment etc. 

I like multiclassing and class upgrades. The mix'n'match crunchy minmaxing part of building rpg characters is super fun for me.

But man, does that make things way more complicated too. I'm no super expert game designer, just a weirdo with RPGMaker and a dream. So I settled on "class changes based on story choices". As in, My idea was letting you change some character's classes.. Once. With a major story choice that locks out the others. Of course none of that's in the demo.. Except offering one of the advanced ones for testing. Still some complexity in that, but doable, at least for me. 

So that's why I settled on not doing a job change system for the project even though I really wanted to - This is a crazy enough idea already. I'll just have to find other interesting choices to give ya.
