Last Minute Fixes


I felt like I was "done" but during a stream where I playtested earlier I found a buncha small things I wanted to fix.

  • #1, I put off finishing some sprites and then forgot about them. Many were just colour variants but, It made things weird sometimes, Like an "ice" enemy who was red instead of blue. So we fixed that!
    • Attached spoilerproofed image just for the example.. each of these has face, map and battler sprites now, instead of randomly half being missing/misused. Huzzah! That's 40 "Actor-style" sprites in total, supplemented by just a few "monster" sprites. There's like 3 more I'd like to do but they'll take time we don't have before the jam submission locks.
    • 1b, All those sprites now use proper weapon animations, so they have a lot of variety in their attack motions now (prev were all  just dagger stabs, now have guns, swords, flails etc). It's just a visual change / QoL improvement, no balance changed here.

  • #2, Text cleanups. I mean how much do people care about stuff like punctuation, alignment and line separation. But I cared so I fixed them.
  • #3, Defaulted encounters. Silly me, I left a few on a placeholder battle instead of the proper enemy, this has been fixed. Let me know if you find more!.. 
  • #4, Map 2, teleporter fixes and text fixes. 
  • #5,  Raging Shade nerfs- Only a little but she had almost 50% more AGI than everyone else so we brought that down. Still the fastest. Also reduced AGI given by some of her weapons and reallocated into other stats.
  • #6, Consumable Cost reductions- Brewed potions/consumables and Skill-Learning items costs reduced by around 1/2.
  • #7, Healing spells coefficient nerfed by about 25% (base # the same, but scales a bit worse with stats)
